If you share our sense of adventure, you’ll have the chance to learn a huge range of skills and fields, and build an exceptional career with us!About The RoleWe are looking for a Category Development Manager for Northern Europe, which is a diverse region of 11 countries accounting for +500m£ NSV. The newly created CHAT region (Austria & Switzerland) accounts for roughly 60m£. There is significant potential to grow in the coming years, in turnover, profitability, and market share. Category Development is considered one of the main areas to unlock this potential and to drive value creation for the spirit’s category.Top Accountabilities- Lead customer engagement with Diageo’s category vision, strategy, and plans to enable and support brilliant activation of our plans.
- Establish Diageo as the go to supplier (and most trusted/respected) for category management across all strategic customers by delivering ‘Best-In-Class’ Category Management. This includes industry leading insights delivered through unbiased recommendations in a compelling & action orientated way.
- Work with senior partners (up to director level) in our customers’ businesses to identify opportunities to grow Total Beverage Alcohol. You will be strategically partnering with our customers’ teams to analyse the future trends in the market and build collaborative plans focused on growth.
- Make in outlet navigation (assortment, merchandising, pricing, promotion, display) simple and commercially focused, giving our customers a compelling point of difference in their range.
- Connect our internal teams across commercial, shopper marketing, activation, Net Revenue Management to drive tangible actions from insights that will drive the triple win for Diageo, customer, and shopper.
- 3+ years of Category Development/Customer Marketing/Commercial experience, ideally in consumer goods or related
- Strong commercial and numerical competence with attention to detail
- Existing capability to develop genuine relationships built on mutual trust and respect
- Successful management of senior partners, resulting in strong and positive outcomes. Holistic skills across various marketing and sales growth drivers as well as a track record of delivering groundbreaking business results
- Fluent in English and German, French is a plus
