Commercial Cards Client Executive Role

The key objective is to manage and grow the commercial card relationships with a fixed portfolio of key global Commercial Card Clients ensuring retention of the business, revenue growth and minimising any margin attrition. The Client Executive (CE) Manager will develop variety of approaches to succeed in meeting an annual “wins” goal across multiple card products, including acting as a consultative resource to assist in identifying and finalizing expansion opportunities. Close coordination and communication will be required across the broader Cards organisation (Product, Service, Sales and Legal) as well as with Banking and the TTS Sales organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management
    • Work with Clients to fully understand their payment processes with the aim of identifying card solutions that would allow the Client to improve their current processes from an efficiency and cost-benefit perspective and also deliver working capital benefits.
    • Lead and manage pricing negotiations with Client. Actively share with Product Management Team any country specific insights or developments within the competitive environment.
    • Participate in customer roundtables and industry conferences and secure client representation at events and client references.
    • Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews with your portfolio. Monitor the implementation process and engage senior stakeholders on the Client side to ensure new business is implemented effectively and efficiently to ensure revenue realisation.
    • Provide oversight of BAU activities which are managed by the Service Managers to ensure the existing cards programme is operating smoothly.
  • Pipeline
    • Maintain an accurate and updated pipeline of all prospects in CRM and adopt good sales discipline.
    • Build a sales pipeline of cross-sell opportunities across assigned portfolio.
    • Meet all Sales Management goals tied to pipeline management i.e., CRM, Deal Review and handover to Implementation.
    • Manage the contract renewal process from pre-RFP analysis, through to stakeholder management, RFP response, presentation, pricing strategy, negotiation and deal closure.
  • Knowledge
    • Have expert detailed knowledge of Citi’s suite of cards solutions available globally.
  • Collaboration
    • Build relationships with multiple contacts/departments within the Client organisation to minimise dependency on a single individual and enable growth discussions.
    • Share success stories with Sales and CE teams to allow for deal replication.
    • Coordinate Citi’s teams across the globe to deliver for the Client.
    • Provide Sales colleagues and Product Management with any market or competitor intelligence and provide input into annual Tech and innovation planning cycle.
    • Work with Contract Management team to ensure rapid contract negotiation and execution.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree

Languages:

  • English (compulsory) – written and spoken
  • French (preferred) – written and spoken
