Job Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for managing a cross-functional NPI program. The role requires extensive industry knowledge, a detailed understanding of dealer operations and customer requirements together with in depth knowledge of CISD, strategy and business practices.
The primary function of the role is the link between CI Aftermarket Commercial team (CISD), Cat Digital, the machine and component groups, Global Dealer Services and Dealer Distribution Services.

Job Duties

  • Provide direction, priority, and cadence direction to CISD, Cat Digital, the machine and component groups, Global Dealer Services and DSD for new Condition-Monitoring insights introductions.
  • Ensure alignment and progress across Go-to-market execution plan, Analytics development, Digital Product NPI, Machine NPI, and dealer standards and processes development.
  • Manage detailed requirements for new Condition-Monitoring insights introductions and establish and monitor NPI and sales execution metrics.
  • Owns Condition-Monitoring insights development process.
  • Owns the prioritized list of new CM insights (backlog). Create a 2-year prioritized list of new programs with supporting commercial business cases.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of CISD Condition-Monitoring strategy.
  • People management - manage staff, including PDP process and department cost center.
  • Determine product requirements through detailed understanding of customer needs.
  • The position is required to travel up to 15%.

Background

The position requires thorough knowledge of products and product applications, aftermarket services strategies. Broad company knowledge and strong understanding of dealer operations is also required. The position typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience. In addition, thirteen to fifteen years of progressively responsible job-related experience are typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 13+ years of progressive experience through product development, distribution network development and sales or commercial roles

Desired Qualifications:

  • Digital product product development experience

  • Prior people management experience

  • Knowledge of product applications and aftermarket services strategies

  • Strong understanding of dealer operations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions
