Job Description

The Consolidation Analyst will work on closing and analysis of SGS Group accounts and the preparation of our consolidated financial statements. Working in partnership with our affiliates, you will also help with their preparation and submission of accounts to Group Finance. This position involves working in an international environment involving multiple currencies and interacting with all time zones.

More Specifically, You Will
  • Undertake the periodic consolidation of the Group’s financial statements in accordance with IFRS;
  • Liaise with SGS affiliates to monitor the consolidation process and ensure the timely submission of financial data;
  • Review and assess completeness of financial data reported by affiliates as assigned;
  • Ensure completeness of supporting documentation and audit trail according to deadlines;
  • Analyze the financial statements and provide management with clear and meaningful information on significant movements & deviations;
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual report and all other published financial reports and presentations;
  • Provide Group CEO, CFO, M&A department, investor department and Controller with any ad-hoc requested financial information;
  • Participate in special reporting activities related to the half- year, hard and year-end close;
  • Participate in the implementation / upgrade of financial consolidation and reporting system;
  • Help to identify, document and implement changes to Group accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting or Accounting diploma, CPA would be an advantage;
  • Professional accounting experience in a large organization;
  • Relevant consolidation experience in a multinational company and/or first experience in a Big Four with a minimum of 5 years;
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS;
  • Experience working with ERP systems, Oracle and Hyperion would be an advantage;
  • Strong computer skills (Excel Pivot Table, VLookup, VBA, etc.).

This position will be based at our head office in Geneva.
