Your role

Are you an analytical thinker? Do you act independent and self-driven? Are you familiar with Wealth Management structures?

We’re looking for a credit risk officer to:

  • assess and control risks by performing due diligence on multiple risk categories such as counterparty risk, collateral and exposure risk, concentration and liquidity risk etc.
  • take adequate risk mitigating measures as warranted to manage, maintain and enforce our margin call and close-out process including daily collateral, exposure and conditions monitoring and timely escalation of high risk positions
  • approve credit transactions in own authority or make appropriate recommendations for senior management decision while upholding our risk framework and policies
  • pro-actively work with internal stakeholders to further enhance processes
  • actively contribute as subject matter expert in various change projects and initiatives

Your team

You’ll be working in the Credit Risk Control Flow Switzerland team in Zurich and play a vital role in independently reviewing and monitoring transaction risks within the Global Wealth Management’s loan portfolio. As a credit risk officer, you’ll serve as second line of defence and cover Lombard Products for wealthy UBS clients. You will be exposed to an exciting mix of clients, asset classes, portfolio risks, structured products, derivatives, lending/trading platforms, and various other innovative products and services offered by UBS.

Your expertise

  • Bachelor degree with minimum 2 years working experience in the Financial Industry or a completed banking apprenticeship with relevant credit risk experience
  • Basic understanding of derivatives
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
  • Fluent in German and English, other language skills are a plus
  • An excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Well organized and able to thrive when no two days are the same
  • Skilled at handling/manipulating large data sets using standard MS products, coding skills in Python / VBA
