Work Location: Geneva headquarters, Switzerland

As a successful applicant, you will join our R&D Innovation in Analytical Chemistry department in Geneva. You will be involved in all practical and organizational aspects of a research team, and involved in the development and application of new analytical methods and strategies, from sample preparation to data processing, with a focus on Flavors & Fragrances analyses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply state-of-the-art analytical methods and explore new technologies to measure odorant molecules performance
  • Independently perform experiments, and deliver high quality reliable results on time following instructions provided by the supervising lab head
  • Support other lab heads in the technical aspects of scientific projects, with the ability to take initiatives
  • Identify technical issues and proactively propose solutions. Participate to the instruments’ maintenance
  • Report work progress in a laboratory notebook and during project review meetings
  • Manage lab supplies, raw materials and samples, and maintain a clean and well-organized workplace
  • Comply with HS&E procedures and proactively contribute to improvement of lab safety
We value:
  • CFC in chemistry with emphasis on analytical chemistry. 2+ years of professional experience, preferably in the Flavors & Fragrances industry, is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in sample preparation and separation science (GCMS, LCMS)
  • Ability to conduct simple chemical syntheses is an asset
  • Creativity, open-mindedness, team spirit and problem-solver attitude
  • Quality and service-oriented mindset
  • Working knowledge of English strongly preferred
