We have an exciting opportunity available for a Digital transformation Managerto join CSL Plasma Product Development team at our Bern site. You will be part of the global team driving digital activities for the whole department.

Responsibilities
  • Contributes to and executes on the Digital Transformation strategy
  • Contributes to Data Science activities in plasma process development with particular focus on automating data driven processes and mass-processing of data and ensure a “generating scientists’ delight” approach.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for plasma process development studies, tech transfer activities, validation studies and manufacturing investigations
  • Contributes with ideas and hands-on expert knowledge to ensure that data science projects keep up to date with new technologies and approaches
  • Actively seeks new opportunities for novel digital approaches to innovative protein product development in the fields of data science, predictive algorithms, and big data applications
  • Trains new staff and apprentices. Contributes and supports the use and training of various statistical software packages (JMP, R)
  • Assists in data science skill development, through documentation, presentations, mentoring and working closely with scientific groups, for PPD staff to raise awareness of data science aspects and basic ability in use of standard platforms
  • Collaborates with different CSL sites and departments as well as external partners.
  • Ensures and supports the compilation of technical documents for internal and regulatory purposes
To Be Successful In This Position You Will Possess
  • Combination of education and appropriate experience, in life sciences, information technology, mathematics, statistics, engineering or comparable scientific disciplines
  • 5-7 years’ relevant industry experience and / or equivalent experience in a relevant academic environment
  • Experience in working in cross-functional, multicultural, and international teams.
  • Experience in project work and excellent communication language, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of and hands on competency in mathematical/ statistical modeling, big data approaches and application of AI/ML algorithms in bioprocess development and knowledge about their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  • Familiarity with working with cloud-based solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (English language), working knowledge of German is a bonus
