JOB PURPOSE

An exciting opportunity exists for a world class Entertainment professional to join our newly created luxury travel brand “Explora Journeys” to develop and lead the onboard Enrichment experience and operation for all ships within the Explora Journeys fleet.

Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss Hospitality and luxury in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group`s hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of four ships (currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travelers.

Key Accountabilities
  • Works closely with the Senior Leads of Entertainment and Enrichment, Spa and Destination Experiences to develop a truly collaborative approach to guest and crew enrichment.
  • Leads the development and operation of our Luminary program, Chef’s Kitchen concept and Art/Photo Gallery activities onboard and ashore.
  • Builds relationships with global talent agencies, businesses and academic institutions.
  • Curates creative and diverse enrichment experiences across all programs onboard.
  • Coordinates, in collaboration with all other shipboard and shoreside stakeholders the sourcing, interviewing, recruitment and scheduling of Luminaries, chefs and photographers.
  • Defines and maintains best practice and SOPS for all enrichment activities on offer to both guests and crew.

Qualifications
  • Several years of experience as an enrichment coordinator shoreside or onboard within a premium/luxury operation.
  • Experience in Start Ups/Pre-openings is an advantage.
  • Experience in brand and business development advantageous.
  • An understanding of the training and development sector is an advantage.
  • Experience in diverse multi-national operations.
  • Proficient in English. Any additional languages, particularly European languages is considered an advantage.
