Barilla Switzerland AG is currently recruiting a Temporary Finance Manager for the Barilla Switzerland organization, based in Baar, Switzerland (Zurich area). The individual will report to the Managing Director Switzerland (hierarchically) and to the Finance Director Central Europe (functionally). The position holder has one direct report.

The Finance Manager Switzerland ensures effective decision support processes are in place and acts as a business partner to Swiss Managing Director - preparing and providing business relevant information, coordinating and steering strategic and operational planning processes, including a comprehensive reporting system and efficient data management. Furthermore, the position holder is part of the Barilla Switzerland Management Team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Secure excellence and deliverables of the Finance Switzerland department during maternity leave (approx. 7 months)
  • Implement and control the strategic short- to mid-term business plan for the appropriate budgets of each department as agreed upon with the Managing Director
  • Act as a business partner and monitor the financial impact of business developments and report to the Managing Director in case of deviations in order to meet company targets
  • Ensure accurate, complete and timely budgeting (recording, reporting, simulations etc.) for Switzerland
  • Manage the communication of P&L analyses and planning of all internal interfaces
  • Provide reporting to Headquarters as well as to the functional manager
  • Monitor costs and initiate corrective action in case of deviations in agreement with the Managing Director in order to meet budget requirements
  • Ensure an efficient coordination of the planning and forecasting process (P&L, net sales, volumes, OH costs) including the accurate, complete and timely recording of sales in order to prepare consistent and reliable budgets and forecasts for Switzerland in a timely manner and to act as a business partner providing support to the decision processes in sales and marketing
  • Monitor performance of the reporting structure for key business partners
  • Guide, motivate and develop your direct report within the company’s human capital policies

Your Profile

  • A University degree in Business or Finance
  • A Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Finance. Ideally in Business or Market Controlling for the past 3 years
  • Good knowledge of the FMCG sector
  • Eagerness to drive the finance discipline to the next level
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent analytical skills and affinity to numbers
  • A positive and dynamic personality, ideally someone passionate about food
  • Excellent ability to establish trustful relationships and communicate effectively at senior management level
  • Excellent command of MS Excel, sound knowledge in SAP
  • Fluent written and spoken English
