Job Description

The aim of the Global Marketing Automation Manager in the Team Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement is to provide end-to-end project management in the assigned projects from initiation to implementation with a focus on the companies’ Marketing Automation software (SAP Marketing Cloud). Depending on the project assignment, the job holder oversees concept, design, implementation and support tasks as well as training. Projects can range from smaller to large and complex projects.
  • Act as a key global subject matter expert for marketing automation and eMail Marketing (SAP Marketing Cloud) including consulting, administration, creating, updating, and deploying global guidelines & training material
  • Plan, build and execute integrated digital marketing projects as well as multi-channel campaigns and monitor progress in close alignment with stakeholders and communicate proactively
  • Create high-converting, lead nurturing campaign designs incl. lead scoring, identity resolution, progressive profiling, lead routing, and end-to-end measurement and attribution models
  • Apply customer-centricity and design thinking to design outstanding multi-channel customer journeys
  • Oversee database management with segmentation, list acquisition/import, data cleansing, web form capture, lead management, etc.
  • Be an expert throughout the entire customer data value chain from: data capture, storage, processing, segmentation, activation, and visualization taking the various customer data sources into consideration (CRM, ERP, Identity & Access Management, Social Media, etc.)
  • Support the SAP Marketing Cloud platform development based on Agile / Scrum methodology
  • Deliver projects on time ensuring quality and compliance standards are met following the applicable process standards
  • Gather data, handle analytics, and make recommendations based on those results. Work with project owners to revise and measure particular content and marketing goals. Have KPI’s defined for any digital marketing activity
  • Support briefing sessions and competitive bid processes when external support is required
  • Turn briefings into superior, effective, creative, and measurable digital marketing outputs
  • Manage selected vendors to streamline the planning and implementation processes of projects
  • Be active part of a global service organization (1st and 2nd level support for SAP Marketing Cloud)
  • Ensure all campaigns and concepts are on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for user experience
  • Always seek opportunities for improvement and suggest innovation and efficiency gains

Qualifications
  • University degree (preferably with major in marketing, language and/or communications)
  • > 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing
  • A passion for digital technology
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • Certified project management training or equivalent (Scrum / Agile / …)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Energetic, passionate, creative, straight forward and performance driven personality
  • Proactive and accountable person with distinct interpersonal skills to cultivate a network of effective working relationships in an international matrix environment
  • Team oriented attitude, experienced in leading and coaching project teams
  • Able to achieve pragmatic results in a dynamic environment
  • The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it
  • Used to live and work in a multicultural environment
  • High level of integrity and commitment
  • Fundamental knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus
  • Strong background with Marketing Automation solutions like SAP Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or other similar platforms
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), any other language is an advantage

Additional Information

This position reports to the Head of Digital Customer Engagement and is based at the Corporate Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.
