Your role

Are you passionate about data & analytics? Do you have strong analytical skill and a passion for understanding the “why” and “how” as much as the “what”? Do you like to code and are you interested in connecting data and transform it to valuable data-driven business insights? Would you like to shape the future of Analytics at UBS and work on a broad range of use cases related to sales, pricing, client behavior and (digital) product strategy?

Then we are looking for someone like that to:
  • You will generate data analytics driven business insights for decision making, product development, sales and pricing measures
  • You will cover analytics for a broad range of subjects, e.g., understanding client needs, client profiling, product & channel usage across the full client & product lifecycle
  • You will extract, transform, manipulate, and analyze large volumes of data, leveraging industry standard tools and techniques
  • You will visualize data analytics insights for management reporting and create interactive dashboards
  • You will be working an agile delivery organization, providing analytics expertise and services to a broad range of business stakeholders
  • You will be responsible to manage and drive your own use cases

Our 3-6 month internship is an ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharp people in finance.

Your team

The Center of Excellence AI, Data & Analytics, located in Zurich, is a team of highly qualified, diversified and analytics experts. Our goal & mission is to deliver business impact powered by advanced analytics. We provide analytics expert knowledge and services for a broad range of stakeholders across business segments, product & channel owners, marketing and IT. We drive and develop analytical use cases and capabilities with direct impact on UBS strategy and day-to-day business. We help the bank to provide clients with the best service and tailored advice. We support running our business in a data driven way, and we enable the bank to continuously re-invent itself leveraging the power of analytics.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:
  • proficient skills in handling large data sets using SQL, Python or SAS
  • knowledge on BI Tools like Tableau, PowerBI or MicroStrategy and ability to visualize data for broad range of stakeholders
  • you are creative, curious and interested in new trends, digitalization and technology

  • a gift for using numerical analysis, statistics and financial mathematics to solve practical problems
  • sharp analytical and problem solving skills
  • a gift for using numerical analysis, statistics and financial mathematics to solve practical problems
  • proven numerical and quantitative skills for understanding and applying quantitative models
  • experience with high-level programming language and statistical modeling software know-how (like R, SAS, Matlab, Stata)
