We are looking for a highly motivated, team oriented and communicative person to join our 24/7 intraday trading team. We’re more than happy to consider people with expertise in this particular field, but are also open to more junior profiles, who want to enter the exciting world of energy trading. The role is based at our offices in Olten, Switzerland.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Intraday optimisation and trading around our flexible Swiss hydro asset portfolio on the European intraday markets on a continuous basis. Together with your team colleagues you will develop, implement and operate trading and optimisation strategies on all relevant market routes.
  • Balancing and trading a large-scale renewable portfolio in various markets and managing the underlying imbalance risk and trading needs accordingly.
  • Being part of a dedicated trading team which is operating in a 24/7 shift scheme, thus regular night and weekend operations are part of this role


Your Qualifications
  • Higher education degree in a relevant field (engineering, business, etc.)
  • Ideally some previous experience in a similar role, understanding of fundamentals and value drivers of the spot and intraday markets in Europe
  • Strong team player with good collaboration skills, sharing relevant information and insights with colleagues for the best of all
  • Willingness to perform and excel in a high paced, dynamic environment
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills, ideally with some coding expertise (VBA, Excel a.o.)
  • Fluency in English required, additional language skills in German, French or Italian beneficial
