About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Senior Vice President Commercial Products and Services, you will lead the team that manages the entire portfolio of safety and cargo compliance and operations solutions. You will be responsible for driving the strategy and ensuring continued growth and improved performance of your portfolio of products that help increase the adoption of industry standards and regulations in the air transport industry. Additionally, you will also manage all publishing services bringing consistency across the organization in the delivery and logistics of printed and digital publications.

What Your Day Would Be Like

• Product Strategy: develop and execute a strategy (including competitive positioning, growth, commercial performance and fulfilment) to grow and improve the product portfolio sustainably and in accordance to the priorities and needs of the air transport industry;
• Product Portfolio Management: identify, define, evaluate, and champion new product ideas/enhancements and service opportunities, and oversee their implementation with speed and agility;
• Product Financials: manage the P&L of the portfolio, including budget and forecasts, ensuring revenue and operating result objectives are achieved and preferably exceeded;
• Business Development: collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Divisions and Regions to develop the business and increase the adoption of IATA’s products with an objective to increase revenue growth;
• Customer Engagement: engage with customers for product promotion, business development and opportunity identification; promote the product portfolio at various events, conferences, seminars and forums to generate awareness and increase the uptake of the various products, understand customers’ pains and needs and provide products of the high level of quality which generate a high level of customer satisfaction;
• Subject Matter Expertise: develop expertise in all matter safety and cargo related; collaborate with subject matter experts for the enhancement of existing products and the development of new products;
• Publishing Operations and Services: oversee the product production and delivery process, ensuring high quality products and standards for customers while bringing consistency across Compliance and Operations Solutions;
• Team Management: manage a diverse team of product managers responsible for the portfolio of Safety and Cargo compliance and operations solutions across multiple time zones and locations.
  

We would love to hear from you if you have

• University degree (bachelor or post-graduate);
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in product management, business development, or relevant air transport industry activities;
• Customer-centered mindset in professional interactions, product management and product design;
• Commercial outlook understanding strategies to continuously improve the operating results of the product portfolio;
• Keen knowledge of budgetary processes and financial projections;
• Entrepreneurial spirit and is willing to implement new approaches to product management;
• Passion for technology with the objective to aim to bring innovative solutions that will transform the air transport industry;
• Analytical mind seeking to understand the root cause of problems and find solutions for customers’ pains;
• Motivation to demonstrate tangible results and get things done;
• Good leadership skills and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and develop teams and individuals;
• Strong sense of ownership with high standards; high level of motivation, autonomy and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and perform under tight deadlines;
• Experience in working in multi-cultural environment;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken is essential;
• Belief in core IATA values (people and team oriented, focused on results, embrace innovation and change, and demonstrate leadership and personal integrity).
