JOB PURPOSE

The Junior Corporate lawyer is a corporate or commercial lawyer with 2/3 years of post qualification experience able to support a fast-paced, demanding environment driven by the dynamic and highly diversified international growth of the company.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Drafts, revises and negotiates a wide range of corporate and commercial contracts relating to the main activities of the company including but not limited to supply agreements, service agreements, agency agreements, sales agreements, sponsorship agreements, licences, travel agency agreements, IT contracts, terms of business, concession agreements, leases, development agreements, MOUs, NDAs, letters of intent, etc.;

•Provides commercially focused, concise legal advice on different areas of law (including commercial, corporate, consumer, IT and/or EU law) and ensures the company operates in compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable laws; •Assists senior lawyers on projects and strategic transactions including acquisitions, joint ventures and intra-group reorganisations.;•Contributes to the setting and maintenance of policies and procedures in relation to compliance and corporate governance, develops training materials and assists with the group’s ongoing compliance and corporate governance activities globally;•Actively contributes to the legal team’s continuing development of knowledge, legal updates, skills and departmental processes; •Liaises with external counsel effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Perfect command of English (spoken and written). Fluency in French and/or Italian would be an advantage;

• Law degree. LLM or other post-graduate qualification is an advantage;

• Approximately 2/3 years post qualification experience in a law firm or in-house with exposure to international operations;

• Admission to the bar or equivalent qualification in a European country would be advantageous. Swiss, Italian or English qualification is preferred but not a pre-requisite;

• Strong communication skills, drafting and negotiation skills;

• Can do attitude, pro-active, customer oriented, resilient, flexible, adaptable, eager to learn and to develop professionally in line with the growth of the company and its varied activities;

• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines, in a fast paced, rapidly evolving and demanding industry and work environment;

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, international environment and communicate, and form strong relationships, with people at all levels.
