Junior DevOps Engineer

The Credit Suisse Trust IT team supports the company’s core business applications. We develop and run the business applications, manage the interfaces and monitoring of it, plan and deploy application releases and change management. We are seeking an enthusiastic technologist to join our small global IT team, building, extending and supporting our IT application portfolio, hosted on our own application platform and wider infrastructure platform.
You will strengthen our team with your strong familiarity with SQL, PowerShell, Batch Scripting, and you have a programmer’s mind-set. Part of your role will be the continual improvement, optimization and enhancement of data loads and processing routines. You will support, troubleshoot SSIS ETL and SQL based applications. You will develop and maintain an extensive range of infrastructure automation and monitoring scripts in PowerShell.

• Strong familiarity with SQL, PowerShell, Batch Scripting, has a programmers mind-set
• PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL management
• Nice to have: experience with RHEL or other Linux variant, C#, SSIS, HTML, JavaScript, DevOps experience & release management
• Maintain scripts for automated tasks & automated data loads
• Continual improvement, optimization and enhancement of data loads and processing routines
• Support, troubleshoot SSIS ETL and SQL based Applications
• Develop and maintain an extensive range of infrastructure automation and monitoring scripts in PowerShell
• Liaise with the business and local IT and wider Bank IT to develop and define requirements for the platform.
• Work with business intelligence and IT infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues in test and production environments

You offer

• University Degree in IT or sciences or just solid related previous experience
• SQL skills with MS SQL Server databases 2014 or newer
• Good knowledge and experience of scripting and language skills (SQL, C#, PowerShell, Batch)
• Ability to learn a complex system and the complex business it serves
• Acceptance of already established design and development standards and provide solutions that are compatible
• Structured way of thinking, ability to make connections and problem solving attitude
• A proactive and enthusiastic‚ can-do attitude and team-player is essential, with good communication and solid interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English verbally and written, German would be helpful
