Product Marketing Specialist (80-100%)

Working within the Product Marketing Team of the Electrification Global Markets business area in Switzerland, you will be responsible for implementing product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy. This role calls for a professional who combines an excellent understanding of technical products with a genuine flair for selling. You will support sales organization in driving sales and services of respective products. In doing so, you will be instrumental in evolving the company’s business. Reporting to the Product Marketing Director, you will coordinate sales activities, conduct market research to meet business goals and increase market share.

Your responsibilities

  • Implementing the local go-to–market product marketing strategy and all marketing activities
  • Supporting sales organization in driving sales and services of respective products, providing relevant materials to them, and helping them to offer solutions
  • Defining appropriate forecasts and preparing business/marketing plans focused on business development for the complete service portfolio for ABB medium voltage and low voltage switchgear (energy distribution)
  • Evaluating and sharing customer research, market conditions and studies of other companies
  • Driving sales efficiency by delivering appropriate product knowledge information and training (technical and sales) for the sales team

Your background

  • > 2 years of experience in electricity grid ecosystems, working as an expert with excellent application and system know-how in the field of distribution grids or related area
  • Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • A master or bachelor’s degree in engineering is a must. The ideal candidate has in addition a strong track record in product marketing, and good financial skills
  • German, English, both written, and verbal are a must, French and Italian are an advantage.
