Your role

If so then we’re looking for you to:
  • contribute to the back- and front-end development of our bespoke portfolio management platform
  • maintain and improve the infrastructure of our internal credit risk database
  • drive further the automation of our processes by contributing to the development of in-depth data
analyses and monitoring of the most complex client portfolios
  • implement a comprehensive delivery and deployment framework compliant with the firms software
engineering standards
  • closely interact with all relevant business unit stakeholders to architect and deliver robust and
sustainable solutions

Your team

You’ll be working in the Loan Portfolio Management team in Zurich. The team is responsible for managing
within the 1st Line of Defense the credit risk of the GWM lending and derivative books. Our mission is to
help UBS GWM lending business to grow by having a sustainable approach towards credit risks, both at
portfolio and single transaction level. We achieve this by staying on top of GWM lending portfolio risks,
promptly informing Client Advisors and Senior Management of any material changes and assisting in the
workout of any problems as quickly and as efficiently as possible. As the 1st line of defense, the team’s
responsibilities include the daily monitoring complex lending transactions to manage and pre-empt client
shortfalls throughout the financial cycle. The team spans APAC and Switzerland.

Your expertise

  • strong numerical skills including university degree or equivalent in computer science, mathematics,
engineering or related disciplines.
  • exceptional programming skills in Python.
  • data analysis experience, ideally using SQL, pandas and numpy.
  • experience with web technologies, specifically React/JS and Python backends (Flask, Django).
  • familiar with integrating and developing software in a fast paced environment (CI/CD).
  • diligent, concise and accurate work style, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze
market and credit risk.
  • collaborative team member with analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
