Your role

Are you a sharp evaluator of risk and control? Do you have specific experience of risk and control assessment? Can you investigate complex issues?

We’re looking for a Senior Auditor in Group Internal Audit who can:

  • lead thematic and front-to-back reviews and audits of Global Wealth Management (GWM) markets and products in Switzerland, coordinating the audit planning, fieldwork and reporting phases
  • analyze and assess risks arising from both the GWM business and related support functions
  • identify and evaluate the effectiveness of controls designed to address those risks
  • document and communicate audit issues, root causes and risks, and prepare reports of audit findings for UBS senior management
  • develop recommendations for items that solution owners should consider when finalizing their action plans
  • review remediation actions submitted by the business for closure to assess whether these have addressed the original risks
  • own auditable entities, continuous risk assessment tasks and stakeholder relationships for areas under your responsibility
  • successfully collaborate with peers in and across divisional/ functional audit teams regionally and globally
  • develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Your team

You will be working in Group Internal Audit (GIA) Team in Switzerland, covering GWM market and front office activities as well as product related risks. GIA is an independent function, reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board and the Audit Committee, that supports UBS in achieving its strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives. We do this by assessing key processes as well as governance, risk management, and the control environment within all business divisions and Group Functions (GF) functions globally.

Your expertise

  • Ideally 7 years+ experience in audit within the financial industry. This experience could have been gained at a consulting firm or in an internal audit function.
  • Strong knowledge of Wealth Management business and risk and control
  • strong analytical skills and quantitative approach to problem solving
  • ability to quickly understand complex processes and challenge the status quo, identify risks and inadequacies in procedures and to effectively supervise auditors assigned to complex audit reviews.
  • willingness to keep up with industry, regulatory developments and learn new concepts and methods,
  • ability to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders.
  • risk focused, and capable of using data analytics to identify risk indicators and symptoms of issues
  • fluent in English and another Swiss national language with excellent verbal and written skills.
