Senior Country Risk Portfolio Manager

• The team works hard to establish a holistic framework, beyond just credit or market risks. As such, the remit is much more global than in traditional country risks frameworks
• Take ownership to ensure the Group’s overall oversight and proactive management of Country risks – across all risk stripes (Credit, Market, Compliance, Financial Crime, NFRM etc.) and different departments of the bank, exercising oversight over the divisions’ risk taking activities.
• Integration into the Global Credit Portfolio Management team from an organizational perspective with day-to-day responsibilities extending far beyond credit risk management only
• The chance to improve and maintain our risk management frameworks covering the banks activities in all markets globally, across all divisions and legal entities

If you bring the following skills and experience, we would love to hear from you:

• Completed Master’s degree combined with at 10+ years of financial industry experience – with experience of country risk, sovereign rating and analysis. A background in emerging markets sales and trading would also be appreciated (with coverage across bond issuance/bond & credit trading, or FX).
• A keen interest in geopolitics and macroeconomics, especially for Emerging Markets, understanding risk trends and early warning management.
• Able to navigate through large sets of data and be willing to contribute to improve the current data and systems architecture
• Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
• Experience in communication on the highest senior management levels, including the crafting of presentations, analysis, and executive briefings a key requirement
• Ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way and with focus on aspects most relevant to the specific audience
• Proven ability to engage a larger group of people across departments and locations and lead to results and positive outcomes
