Your role

Do you want to actively shape payment innovations beyond traditional payment rails?

Would it excite you to bring our Payment Ecosystems, Open Banking APIs and B2B Payment Connectivity Services, together with a strong team, to the next level?
Are you fascinated with FX as well as new payment trends like cryptocurrencies, stable coins, CBDC, etc. and eager to apply them in a way that really make a difference for our clients?

If so, then let’s drive the UBS Payment Solutions roadmap together and jointly enhance the ways our clients transfer money on a global scale!

Key activities include:
  • lead an agile product management team that delivers strategic product and business development projects in the payment area
  • Define, scope and design new payment and FX solutions, based on convincing use cases and customer journeys
  • ideate, develop, implement and iterate together with your team global P2P, B2C and B2B Payments (Open Banking, Payment APIs, Connectivity Services) as well as FX solutions to extend the leading position of UBS as payment power house
  • create compelling senior management presentations for new products, services and business projects that ensure vision, needs, and requirements are understood and executed appropriately
  • coordinate agile project workstreams assuring budgets & deliverables and ensuring execution on the level of your agile team and in virtual project organizations
  • demonstrate outstanding stakeholder management skills in order to drive alignment within UBS and external partners by close collaboration with key stakeholders such as IT, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Channels and external vendors

Use this unique opportunity to take over the lead of an agile team of payment product managers as well as subject matter experts and become part of the overall UBS Payment leadership team, domiciled in Zurich. Your expertise

  • university degree, preferably in the area of business, innovations, finance or economics
  • at least 5 years of professional experience in strategic management consulting in the banking environment or as a project manager and consultant in the financial industry
  • first experience and solid functional knowhow in the domain of payments, FX or the area of non-traditional payment methods such as cryptocurrencies, stable coins, smart contracts or CBDC are a plus
  • proven track record in conceptual work (creating business cases and management presentations) and designing innovative and client-oriented solutions and user journeys
  • team leadership experience, ideally in an agile setup with various cross-functional stakeholders
  • very strong stakeholder management and excellent team player with pragmatic, reliable and solution-oriented approach
  • excellent German and English language skills mandatory, knowledge of French and Italian would be a plus
