If you’re a forward-thinker looking for the great next step in your career within an innovative and collaborative environment, Board is the right workplace for you!

We are currently looking for a Tech Writer to join us in Chiasso. As a member of our Product Management Team, you will help us drive customer & partner delight, productivity, and value.

We create and provide a variety of documentation, all intended to help various audiences become quickly productive with our products, increase their level of mastery, and provide self-help resources. Some assets are fairly technical, some are functional, some are conversational; some are long-form, and some are small and ‘snackable’. Examples include User Manuals, Release Notes, User Guides, Onboarding Guides, Help articles, in-product help, and similar types of assets.

Simply said, your role is to help your reader understand how things work, well enough so they know what to do to get their intended result or solve their problem. We generally provide documentation primarily in English, French, Italian, and German. Other language requirements may vary over time.

Main duties:

  • Work closely with our R&D team to create manuals, release notes, and related technical documentation for Board customers, partners and developers
  • Liaise with our Support, Customer Success, and Partner teams, develop Onboarding guides, FAQs, help articles
  • Develop in-product help snippets, which are accessed just in time by users in their moment of need
  • Maintain our dictionary/glossary of Board-specific terms which must be maintained across translations
  • Provide direction to localization vendors and review their output for quality & consistency.
  • Support on blogs and best practices on the community

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College, preferably with a Marketing, General Business or technical emphasis
  • Exceptional written communication skills in English
  • Prior experience developing commercial documentation in any of the areas above
  • Prior experience working with localization vendors
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a track record of fostering relationships and aligning teams across multiple departments

Our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Join a company that believes in the added value of diversity, inclusion, and belonging. We foster a working environment in which all people are respected and valued, for all aspects which make them unique. We hire you for who you are, and we want you to bring your true self to work every day!
