The Technical Services Water group of Omya’s Environmental Solutions segment supports the technical implementation of our mineral powder and slurry products at customer sites through consulting and trials. To expand our trial capacity in the areas of paper production, waste water and process water, we are looking for a Technical Service Manager Water.

Trial equipment management

  • Manages a portfolio of small and large-scale trial equipment (sourcing, logistics, storage and maintenance)
  • Develops and implements solutions for rental equipment with external partners
  • Coordinates collaboration and resource sharing with internal partners (engineering, pilot plants, other market segments)

Customer trials coordination

  • Independently organizes and executes customer trials in coordination with customers, sales organization, the technical service team, and external partner organizations.
  • Defines, sources, installs and commissions required equipment, interfaces, and control systems.
  • Accompanies trial start-up to achieve stable operation, troubleshoots ongoing trials

Customer product implementation

  • Supports customer transition from trial to permanent installation.
  • Coordinates equipment solutions with customer, internal and external partner organizations.

  • University degree in a related technical field (e.g. process/industrial/chemical/mechanical engineering), or technical education with several years of practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in waste water, process water, or paper production processes
  • Practical experience in the following fields is an advantage: automation and process control, fluid transport systems, commissioning, powder and slurry handling.
  • A profound understanding of water chemistry, water treatment processes, and paper engineering is desirable.
  • A pragmatic, solution-oriented, and hands-on mindset with a drive to deliver success while meeting quality and safety expectations.
  • Project management skills with a proven track record of successful execution of complex projects.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in teams of diverse cultural and professional background in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required, additional languages (particularly German and French) are a plus
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% (predominantly in Europe)
  • Valid driving license
