Job Description Summary The test manager is responsible for planning and executing field and rig tests for GE Power. The individual will follow CDT processes for coordination within engineering, manufacturing, customers and their EPCs. The role requires experience with Heavy Duty gas power equipment and a high degree of communication and decision making skills.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Owns and leads test and test process per PW-320. Includes planning and execution of safe, world class development tests.
  • Represents product and test to customer.
  • Defines test requirements working with Systems, Engineering, Manufacturing and C&DT.
  • Works with Systems and Component teams to optimize testing within constraints.
  • Integrates test requirements with Services, PPSD, Customers and their EPC.
  • Leads test team to compile and optimize detailed test plans.
  • Leads internal test planning and data reviews, participates in customer reviews.
  • Develops Test protocol with team… Op procedures, limits, recovery actions, IOI, etc.
  • Ensures proper configuration for test. Software and hardware.
  • Leads the team during testing… online decision maker; responsible for safe operation.
  • Compiles and publishes test report.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Testing. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master’s degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience), or equivalent.
