For our customer, an international trading company in Canton of Zug we are looking for energetic and motivated

Tasks
  • Efficient ordering and monitoring of vessel movements and cargo transfer operations;
  • Issuing of voyage orders, nomination of agents and surveyors, procurement of bunker fuel, effective recording of all portions of the voyage;
  • Providing effective stakeholders relationships, with the vessels, third party owners and/ or technical managers and Hub and Port Agents such that issues are reconciled in the most expeditious manner;
  • Procure bunker fuels to ensure safe voyage execution and regulatory compliance;
  • Support the formulation of solutions to problems and issues and subsequent delivery of initiatives within the region on behalf of the Marine Operations group;
  • Post-fixture (agency, port, bunker procurement, heel management, insurance, settlements, demurrage, ship-shore compatibility coordination;
  • Performance monitoring and reporting; performance claim management;
  • Communication with vessels, vessel owners/operators, shipping teams of counterparties and terminals;
  • Support of Integrated Maritime Operations System.
Requirements
  • Completed commercial apprenticeship;
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in the similar position;
  • Previous marine experience, although not essential, is desirable;
  • Knowledge of the post fixture commercial operation process;
  • Ability to independently manage tasks and problems in a fast paced and dynamic environment;
  • Commercial and analytical mind-set and proven ability to create value;
  • Good understanding of shipping technology and commercial issues;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel in particular)
  • Knowledge and experience in IMOS and SAP is advantageous;
  • Fluent English is a must;
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • The use of discretion and the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality are also required;
  • Only Swiss residents with Swiss/EU-passport or a valid working permit.
