Our Career Start Program offers an ideal platform for graduates who want to experience life at the heart of the financial services industry. You start your main assignment in your business area and rotate to another department for 4-6 months so you can experience different positions, gain insight into a broad spectrum of roles, build new skills and develop crucial networks across the bank. The program offers a combination of practical experience, shadowing days, structured on- and off-the-job training, stimulating challenges and evaluation activities. You benefit from the opportunity to seamlessly transfer to an exciting junior position after your Career Start Program.
Start date: 1st of July or upon agreement.
Duration: 18 months
Academic requirements: Recently completed bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree from a university or university of applied sciences
Your field of responsibility
You will be actively involved in the day-to-day structuring and execution of complex financing transactions, bringing you in regular contact with various internal stakeholders within Wealth Management and the Investment Bank. You will support the team with initial borrower screening, financial due diligence, drafting of internal transaction memoranda and in general the Bank’s internal transaction approval process. You will work with junior bankers to build and review dynamic financial models (debt sizing, operating models, financial projections, valuation methods such as DCF). You will also be involved in the preparation of deal pitches and other related materials. Over time, you will also be involved in drafting of term sheets and negotiation of loan agreements, and you will be expected to perform a number of tasks with a high degree of autonomy.

The Structured Financing Group is the global center of expertise for origination and structuring of complex financing transactions for UHNW, corporate and institutional clients of Credit Suisse’s Wealth Management franchise. Our offering spans across securities-backed lending (margin loans, lending against alternatives or illiquid collateral), equity derivatives, and unsecured lending (corporates and holding companies) – all with bespoke structuring requirements. Your Qualifications And Skills
- Demonstrate how your skills, experience and attributes match the required responsibilities and opportunities of this position:
- You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree from university or university of applied sciences
- An outstanding academic record, accurate and detail-oriented with sound judgment and integrity
- Strong analytical skills, quick to grasp the bigger picture
- Desire to learn about financial modelling and corporate finance analysis
- Fluency in English (fluency in or strong working knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage)
- Keen interest in financial markets and attuned to news and geopolitical developments that can impact our business
- A high standard of work and ability to take last-minute schedule changes in your stride
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven reliability
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
- Prior internships in investment banking, private equity or strategy consultancy
- Prior financial modelling experience
