Job Description:

Seeking a new and challenging opportunity to further enhance your career? Delrin® currently has an opportunity for a Global Procurement Leader based in Geneva, reporting to the Integrated Operations Leader. This results oriented, innovative and transformational leader will have global accountability for the Delrin® Procurement organization (raw materials, contract manufacturing, logistics, IT, MRO, Capital, Packaging, Professional Services, HR Services, Financial Services, Marketing & Communications and Energy) and have oversight of the Service Center activities. This position is managerial and strategic in nature. Responsible for developing solutions, making decisions and implementing them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and executes to meet a 3+ year strategic vision for Global Procurement
  • Manages, develops and leads a global team of 15 FTE’s negotiating and executing contracts for a total spend of around $300MM
  • As member of the Business Leadership Team, key contributor to the long-term strategy development and to delivering financial and operational expectations.
  • Participates as full partner on the business, operations and functional leadership teams to fully engage and understand the business strategy and to bring the external market place dynamics into the strategy and planning process.
  • Develops and drives performance metrics, and delivers results through the expertise and leverage of buyer organization. Manages a rigorous performance management processes with all buyers in the organization.
  • Accountable for annual delivery of savings and working capital targets as required by the business and supply chain to achieve competitiveness.
  • Champions, coaches the team and is a continuous learner on the use of standard sourcing processes, category management, engaging diverse and low cost country suppliers, risk mitigation and supplier Performance Management.
  • Works with the buying team to fully evaluate the external market and develop strategies to mitigate risk and create competitive advantage versus our competition.
  • Sets high standards for the organization for ethics, professionalism and drive compliance to all internal controls.
  • Develops relationships with senior executives from key suppliers and engages them in strategic supplier management for value creation and innovation.
  • Develops peer networks to identify best practices and benchmarking opportunities. Introduces industry game changers to become a best in class organization.
  • Develops and supports implementation of development plans for all direct reports.

Ideal Profile:

To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Several years’ raw material buy experience
  • Several years leading a global team
  • Ability to self-initiate and manage with minimal or no guidance and direction.
  • Strong relationship, leadership, collaboration and communications skills. Able to interact at a strategic level internally and externally. Client oriented and always looking for ways to create value.
  • Change leader who understands the big picture but capable of executing and delivering both short and long term results
  • Has held a broad range of roles and experiences across functions and businesses including business, operations and supply chain
  • Understanding of financial statements, macro-economic factors and market dynamics
  • Strong understanding of Sourcing Processes, market analysis and business value creation
  • Experience negotiating complex and strategic agreements
  • Experience in managing direct reports and large teams

The following are preferred but not necessary:
  • Master’s degree
  • Several years of managerial and leadership experience including change management
  • Buying experience in other Procurement categories (raw materials, indirect, services, logistics)
  • Green belt or black belt certified
  • Commercial / Business / Technical experience and expertise
  • Demonstrates understanding of legal contracts
  • Project management experience
