Global Enterprise Sales Manager -Digital

The ABB PAEN (Process Automation Energy Industries) Global Sales Team is looking for a motivated Global Digital Sales Leader. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in value-based enterprise SaaS solution selling and global sales management experience. Our energy industries segments include oil & gas, chemicals, refining, power, water, pharmaceuticals and new energies. The candidate will be responsible for leading a sales organization selling our Sustainability, Genix, APM, APC, MOM, and Cyber solutions, along with our traditional IIOT digital software offerings. PAEN’s digital business is growing significantly. To sustain and grow, the division is looking for a dynamic global sales leader with outstanding capabilities at building global sales teams and managing those teams to sales objective achievement. Leadership underpinned by a robust and disciplined approach to selling will be critical as we look to move ABB up the ranks of industry-leading enterprise SaaS software companies. Your responsibilities

  • Designing and drive execution of Global Digital Sales Strategy for the Division in consultation with the GPGs and engaging all the 6 hubs and Hub resources.
  • Delivering ABB PAEN Digital results globally
  • Accurately forecasting business and set sales targets for global business regions and sales team
  • Working to develop ABB sales team’s ability to execute globally
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing Digital sales processes and tools and instill a disciplined approach to selling methodology for the team and business
  • Building and maintaining key customer and account relationship and leading strategic business development initiatives.
  • Removing barriers to execution and winning
  • Building and implementing recovery plans when the forecast is not lining up with targets
  • Working with ABB teams to make sure we are making the right investment in resources and R&D

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Information Systems or relevant experience. MBA highly desirable.
  • 8+ years of Technology Sales Management experience, preferred within SaaS/Technology enterprise solution selling experience with a strong understanding of operational technologies software
  • Proven track record of leading a large team to deliver results
  • Knowledgeable in the digital OT, ET, and IT ecosystem
  • Proven track record of collaborating with Sales Account Managers, Technical Account Managers, and Client Managers and coaching them on how to win
  • Passionate about IIOT digital software sales
  • Strong ability to influence business units, teams, and resources that you do not own
  • Know how to successfully navigate complex organizations, give executive presentations and build executive relationships
  • Strong ability to influence business units, teams, and resources that you do not own.
  • In this new business era, we believe the travel requirement will be roughly 40% global travel
