Global Senior Endpoint Deploy Specialist

In this role you will be responsible to deliver and to orchestrate the delivery of a Modern Workplace environment to all ABB’s end users worldwide. You will coordinate and supervise internal and external 3rd party supplier resources for the effective delivery and operational performance of the endpoint services, ensuring its continuous improvement and compliance. Endpoint services include end user software distribution, patch management, App store, OS imaging and update, device enrollment and provisioning, and configuration policies and GPO. This role reports to the Global Software Deployment Service Owner in Global End User Workplace Services.

Your responsibilities

  • Key contributor to the global transformation from a traditional to modern endpoint management.
  • Key contributor on the design and implementation of software deployment and configuration strategies, as from an on-prem environment to a hybrid on-prem and cloud-based enterprise.
  • Reviews and approve endpoint management tools architecture changes.
  • Collaborate with the service owner and the architecture team to create the service roadmap for Windows clients (physical or virtual) and with the end user hardware services owner to agree on future hardware standards.
  • Raise endpoint management improvement requirements and ensures they are implemented with high quality.
  • Ensures the entire endpoint services and sub-services provided and reported by support partners are highly available and compliant, including the management of end point manager software (servers and endpoints), and infrastructure (hosting and network).
  • Verifies the user experience of endpoint management services, and continuously registers and implement changes to improve it.
  • Approves clean up and deployment of software and its patches executed by support partner, according to business, license management and InfoSec requirements.
  • Communicating frequently with service owners and other stakeholders to advise on application usage and deployment as well as re-harvesting opportunities.
  • Provide direction and mentoring to the support partner and ABB teams on operational procedures and guidelines design.
  • Be a service point of contact with ABB end users and customers, as well as an escalation point for services disruption.

Your background

  • Expertise in Unified Endpoint Management Tools (Microsoft Intune and System Center Configuration Manager).
  • Proactive in Continual Service Improvement, always open to adopt new and innovative IS techniques and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects and deliverables.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the relevant service area are required.
  • ITIL certification v3 or v4, LEAN/Six Sigma Certification is preferred.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Experience in IS risk, security, and compliance.
  • Strong education in information management, computer systems, business engineering or similar.
  • Advanced usage Reporting analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a nice to have.
  • Project Manager, Agile certification is a nice to have.
