Your field of responsibility

Wealth Management Cross Asset Execution is a global service provider to Wealth Management, Asset Management and Institutional clients, delivering state of the art electronic trading functionality alongside high touch premium execution solutions, including transaction advisory and access to global financial markets. The role of business and project manager is within the Cross Asset Execution (CAE) COO team based in Zurich, which provides administrative, business, risk, project and (senior) management support for the department primarily in Switzerland as well as 9 international locations across EMEA and Americas. The team also collaborates closely with colleagues in CAE APAC. The position combines both business and project management tasks with a focus on the business management side.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Contributing or taking ownership of organizational, governance and administrative tasks (e.g. organizing/managing governance boards, meetings and trainings, coordinating reviews, etc.)
  • Developing and strengthening quality standards and brand (e.g. drafting department communication, maintaining intranet sites, global harmonization and application of standards)
  • Supporting/completing recurring and ad hoc requests (e.g. presentations for senior management meetings, monthly and ad hoc reporting/controlling, information requests from stakeholders/management, process documentations)
  • Contributing to the department’s operational risk management activities (reviewing and maintaining policies and controls, managing the internal supervisory framework, incident handling, risk assessments, monitoring of risk indicators, coordinating/leading risk mitigating projects)
  • Performing various regulatory and compliance tasks in close collaboration with specialist functions and stakeholders (e.g. supporting Best Execution governance, coordinating broker management, global book management, etc.)
  • Contributing to or leading departmental (sub-)projects as well as developing into an SME representing CAE in cross-departmental or divisional/bank-wide projects (e.g. audit/risk remediation action, new business initiatives, process improvements, regulatory projects etc.)

Your skills and experience

We are looking for an open minded, self-motivated, independent team player that has a strong service attitude and a good sense of humor. Additionally you will bring the following qualifications and experience
  • A University degree or comparable education, e.g. apprenticeship with further qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in banking, preferably in the area of Operations/Middle Office, Risk and/or Business Management or completed career start program
  • Knowledge in one or preferably several product areas (Equities, Fixed Income, Funds, FX)
  • Understanding of the streetside Execution processes and related regulatory requirements
  • Project management experience (incl. having previously led (sub-)projects with multiple stakeholders and preferably internationally)
  • Microsoft application advanced user skills including Excel (e.g. formulae and macros), PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English and German, any other language is an asset
  • Keen perception with strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Open minded, self-motivated, independent, strong soft skills and real team worker with a sense of humor and client service attitude
