In this additional new role, you will serve as a change agent and as a role model for continuous improvement and positive change to help the company achieve its operational excellence goals. You will work closely with the “Senior” Operational Excellence managers and support them and the local teams to implement operational excellence strategies and execution plans aligned with the company’s strategy and business objectives and aligned with the GF Piping Systems strategy 2020. A typical implementation cycle is 12 weeks (mainly onsite in the D/A/CH region). We see this position as a critical component of our succession planning pipeline and represents a fast-track opportunity within our organization.

Junior Operational Excellence Manager (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

  • Supporting the OPEX Manager in leading and executing process improvement initiatives using OPEX, lean, and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Drive process mapping and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Executing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within budget
  • Supporting the development and tracking of KPIs to measure the progress and success of operational excellence initiatives
  • Provides assistance to Lean Champions, functional departments, and business units in identifying, implementing, and championing Lean and Six Sigma projects that tie strongly to business strategic priorities
  • Creating reports and presentations for upper management on the status of operational excellence initiatives

Your profile:

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in process improvements, operational excellence, lean management or in a similar area preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  • First project management skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel 50 - 75% (12 weeks cycle)
  • EU citizenship or a valid Swiss working permit
