Management Reporting Workstream Lead

We are looking for a Global Workstream lead for the Management Reporting (MR) Workstream as part of the Plan to Deliver process under the ABB Way finance transformation program. Plan to Deliver has been determined to be a Core process owned by the Corporate FP&A organization and will be designed, implemented, and executed with very close collaboration with the Business Finance teams, ABB Way Finance Transformation team and GBS Finance FP&A organization. Key objectives in this role are to design and implement the global standardization and data harmonization within the management reporting process and set up the management reporting policy for ABB. The workstream lead will also act as a member of the core team and sparring partner for the Process Program Lead to build together the end-to-end Plan to Deliver process. The role establishes a cycle of innovation, harmonization, continuous improvement and connects to other business processes. As part of the ABB Way Finance Program, you will also drive the process harmonization and standardization across Divisions by engaging and closely collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. This role reports to the Head of Corporate FP&A.

Your responsibilities

  • Act as a global Functional Expert for management reporting at ABB under the finance transformation program.
  • Support in designing the management reporting policy for ABB and help in driving the buildup of detailed application instructions.
  • Based on industry best practice, build the core and common management reporting KPIs and process for ABB.
  • Design and deliver KPI definitions and application principles to be adopted by the entire Group.
  • Organize and run related workshops with key stakeholders to ensure engagement and alignment.
  • Coordinate, build and present management reporting prototypes, including coordination with show home team to drive build of executive use cases.
  • Lead the communication, training, and deployment plan for management reporting across ABB organization.
  • Setting governance structures and ensuring compliance by facilitating required meetings, determining a standard way of decision making, monitoring workstream milestones and integrating to other relevant strategic projects.
  • Support in building up the data design, management structure and corresponding organization where applicable.

Your background

  • Masters level degree ideally in Finance.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Finance & Controlling, including FP&A function of a Global organization. ABB business controlling experience is a significant plus.
  • Experience with performance management processes, management reporting, related functional design, organizing, and running workshops.
  • Experience of leading and managing a wide international team to drive, build and test during design and implementation phase.
  • Able to articulate risks and opportunities associated with implementing a global management reporting framework in a complex and challenging organization.
  • At least one experience with a big Finance Transformation program.
  • Experience with SAP Central Finance is an additional plus.
  • Experienced with working under pressure, in a global environment.
  • Strong analytical, structured approach to problem solving and interdisciplinary thinking skills.
  • Experience in working in a highly international business environment as well as in highly complex and matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to represent management e.g. in meetings with Business Executives.
  • An agile, strategic thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English. Any other language is an asset.
