We currently have over 1.5 trillion USD in assets under management on our platform.Senior Solution Engineers at FNZ are responsible for defining and designing the architecture and identifying the best technical solution based on the known set of complex requirements. Solution Engineers have a solid engineering background, as well as the capacity to adapt swiftly to different business contexts.
  • You lead workshops and work closely with the Delivery and the Product Team to support the growth of the FNZ Studio platform
  • You take user experience, system performance, the FNZ Ecosystem, and many other aspects into consideration when identifying the best technical solution to the set of complex requirements you are presented with
  • You rapidly pick up clients’ vocabulary and quickly understand their goals Solution Engineers contribute to shaping problems/feature requests into impactful ideas, innovating implementations, and contributing to the FNZ technical evolution
  • As part of the job, you provide coaching and run troubleshooting sessions with clients and colleagues when a more in-depth understanding of the product is required
  • You create collaterals and best practice guidelines based on the day-to-day experience with FNZ Studio
Main Responsibilities­
  • Analyze customers’ organizational structures and business processes; investigate their architectural needs and explore existing legacy solutions
  • Provide coaching and run troubleshooting sessions when a more in-depth understanding of the product is required as a subject matter expert
  • Manage technical challenges and adapt solutions to meet various business requirements
  • Design adapters and connectors that integrate FNZ Studio with existing systems, drive implementation and leverage in-house product capabilities
  • Support customers and fellow FNZ colleagues when intricate and challenging technical matters arise
  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering Teams to find ways to improve the product
  • Provide feedback to the Delivery team on business adoption and value realization of the implemented business processes

Requirements
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in software engineering, or equivalent
  • Excellent academic record or professional certifications that demonstrate your ability to learn quickly
  • 2+ years of experience in a hands-on, deeply technical, software development role
  • 1+ years of experience as a software architect, with responsibility for designing the architecture for at least one project
  • Experience in at least one large enterprise software architecture project, where scalability, security, and data integrity topics were relevant concerns
  • Experience in developing at least one three-tier Web Application, and a good understanding of the technologies belonging to all three tiers
  • Demonstrable proficiency in core programming languages (Java is preferred)
  • Good knowledge of database technologies, including SQL language proficiency
  • Experience in a complex enterprise environment designing and engineering solutions supporting different authorization and authentication setup
  • Have matured understanding of cloud technologies, such as Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, etc.
  • Capable of discerning the relevant characteristics of an architecture given limited information, zooming in on specific topics which need to be promptly tackled, but without losing the big picture, with the clear goal of integrating most safely and smoothly with the customer’s environment
  • Understanding of Web Application frontend technologies, including JavaScript and HTML
  • Demonstrable experience with various integration protocols, including different kinds of Web Service frameworks
  • Business fluency in English. Italian, French or German is a plus
