Solutions Consultant - Process Performance

Reporting to the Solutions Consulting Leader work within Process Automation - Process Industries Division, you will be leading for digital consulting assignments of high complexity.

Your responsibilities

• Providing digital solution leadership for Process Performance consistently at high quality to a sales, proposals, and project teams
• Analyzing customer requirements to ensure digital solution(s) meets objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen
• Acting as a high-level technical expert, providing knowledge and analysis of Processing Performance software applications and operational environments, functional systems analysis, design, integration, and implementation advice for complex digital solution implementation
• Providing direction and mentoring to sales and project teams
• Interfacing with and influences customer’s senior technical and business leadership
• Continuously driving business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions with
• solutions consulting and hub digital teams
• Demonstrating expertise in multiple digital solution areas across two or more portfolios with the ability to architect and design technology solutions
• Co-ordinating sales activities across solutions consulting team, hub digital and hub sales teams including proposals

Your background

• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the OT / software industry with focus on digitalization and the Internet of Things, and deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical field
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or technical field would be an advantage
• Proven track record in customer focus, exposure to customer top management, consultative selling, driving results and turning opportunities into sales successes
• Proven experience in driving digital development for complex global organizations, ideally in a B2B environment (Process, Energy, software, technology, automation)
• Background in cloud and edge technologies, digital twins, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning as applied to Process Performance solutions
• Ability to deliver complex deliverables under demanding timelines. Be flexible with changes and keep the customer focused and stay within the scope of the engagement.
• Deep Experience in the industrial software environment; Division-specific industry exposure (industrial automation/advanced software/…) preferred experience and background in either one or more of the Division industrial domains of Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Food & Beverage
• Hands-on experience with software applications in APC and simulation such as Aspen DMC, Honeywell Profit Suite, Aspen Hysis, Honeywell UniSim, KBC Petro-sim, Equation-based optimization.
• Experience in justification, design, implementation, and maintenance of process control applications
• Understanding of pre-test, tuning, step testing, model identification, inferential deployment, interfacing, and commissioning
• Extensive exposure to various unit operations in refining, chemicals, mining, metals, etc. as well as sound knowledge of optimization techniques and the design of APC controllers
• Industry recognition and an established reputation within process industry customers and market insights to drive development of business growth tactics
• Proven collaborator with the ability to drive success in direct and matrix organization
• Demonstrates inspirational leadership and passion for Process Performance solutions
• Implemented APC through a full lifecycle from requirements gathering to aftermarket support
• Experience with architecting, developing, and administering Process Performance software solutions
• Excellent networking skills matured in a highly international organization, “leading by influence”
• Change management experience is a strong plus
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Availability to travel internationally as required
