Your responsibilitiesIn this position you plan and conduct usability studies with the appropriate analytical methods such as contextual enquiries, usability tests, focus groups, surveys, etc. As a next step you evaluate the results to identify user needs and make sure they are met for our products. The tasks will be complemented by your contribution to innovative concepts for furute products and systems.If you would like to have more details:User requirements determinationResponsible for user requirements gathering and consolidation according the Medela Innovation Process (Usability Basis)Specify user profiles, context of use, core and sub tasks, use scenarios and user requirementsDevelop user interaction concepts and specifications based on user interaction standardsReview requirements and product design specifications from a users’ viewpointFormative product testing and design review activitiesConduct early and late stage usability testing with mock-ups, prototypes or existing products.Evaluate and manage external usability engineering partners for the above activitiesConsolidate and present findings from usability testsProvide insights for the product development team regarding usabilityReview product concepts and designs from a user and usability perspectiveProduct validation activitiesResponsible for product summative usability validationPlan and conduct usability validation testing (lab set-up) and compile usability engineering file according the IEC standard and FDA guidance documentsEvaluate and manage external usability engineering partners for product summative usability validationConsolidate all the documentation related to Usability Engineering, in compliance with the applicable standards and normsYour qualificationsBachelor Degree, or 5+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years’ experience in Usability Engineering or Human Factors for medical devicesExcellent written and oral communication skills in English.
